Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim of this course is that students gain experience in presenting their own research (ideas) and in convincing others of the importance of their research. Various topics will be covered.
Assessment and permitted materials
The assessment will be based on the students' presentations, regular attendance and participation in the discussions.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
To pass, students need to give a presentation and be present in more than 50% of the sessions. The grade is determined by the number of sessions in which a student is active (i.e., asking questions and/or giving constructive feedback):
11 - 12 active sessions: grade 1
9 - 10 active sessions: grade 2
8 - 9 active sessions: grade 3
6 - 7 active sessions: grade 4
less than 6 active sessions: grade 5
If there are more/less than 12 sessions during the semester, the thresholds will be adjusted accordingly.
