Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
– active participation in class (8 points), also (non-obligatory!) by presenting relevant news from the world of trade law (e.g. newspaper articles about tariff negotiations) during the sessions
Two exams in the final two sessions (students need to be present in the classroom):
– The first consists of right/wrong, Single and Multiple Choice, and fill-in-the-blank questions (no materials allowed).
– The second is a discussion of a hypothetical trade scenario (open book).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
– active participation in class (8 points); students are also invited to present one newspaper article on a trade law topic of their choosing in class (approx. 10 minutes, max. 5 points)
– two exams in the final two sessions (72 points in total), the first with Single & Multiple Choice Questions (closed book), the second is a case study (open book)
> 40 points for a positive grade needed
– two unexcused absences max
