Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this advanced topics course the Six Sigma methodology for process analysis & process optimization ist presented and the main tools are thaught. Beside the theoretic part students learn the subject by means of case studies and will independently work out exercises by the use of notebooks. Participants of the course can if required borrow notebooks at the WiWi Service. Correpsonding confirmations for a long-term rental can be requested in the secretary of the professorship for Organisation& Planning.
Assessment and permitted materials
The final scores shall be calculated from Written Assignments, The Movie Project: Report, Presentation, Final Examination and Participation during the lectures.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Objective of the course is to enable to students to successfully contribute to Six Sigma projects. Basic knowledge in statistics is absolutely required for this course.
Examination topics
This interactive course ends with a final exam. In addition to the attendance of the lessons, the hand-over of a case study and the participation in the final exam are essential for passing this course.
