Aims, contents and method of the course

Assessment and permitted materials

Active classroom participation (10%), midterm exam based on the lecture part of the course (40)%, student presentations (50%)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The lecture part of the course aims to introduce students to the modelling frameworks of incorporating financial frictions into dynamic stochastic general equilibrium macro models. In the second half, students will present selected recent contributions in that literature.

Examination topics

The course consists of a lecture part (first half of the course) and a reading group part (second half of the course).
