Each mentor leads a group of around 20 students and organizes regular meetings with the new students in the winter semester. The general contents of the meetings are developed by the mentors, supported by SPL and teacher representatives. Creativity and individuality are desired when implementing the topics. The team of StEOP mentors in economics consists of up to 12 mentors and is led by Doz. Dr. Christina Sichtmann and a Moodle course throughout the semester. Before the beginning of the semester (mid-September), mentors must complete both the 1-day qualification workshop "Instructing Peer Mentoring Groups" of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) as well as another workshop from the CTL offer (e.g. "Instructing groups "," Learning to Learn "," Procrastination "," Diversity ").After successfully completing STEOP mentoring, you will receive a confirmation of participation from the CTL for your CV.In addition, you will be prepared for a specific course in your own field of study and accompanied through the semester. For this you get ECTS points.
