Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The students are supported to write their bachelor thesis. Literature research, formal requirements, and efficient writing are topics of the course (especially in the first unit). If students are not showing up at the beginning of the first unit, they will be unsubscribed. In the second unit, main strategic and management concepts of public and non-profit management (PNPM) are presented. The students choose one of the six selected areas of public and non-profit management: education, environment, energy, health care, disaster management, and sports/recreation. Out of these six PNPM fields, two topics per field can be selected for the joint bachelor theses by a group of two students, respectively. In the third session, the 12 groups are presenting their results from the literature recherche and critically discuss their findings. The fourth session represents the final presentation of the 12 joint bachelor-theses. In the fifth unit, the preliminary written 12 bachelor theses (pdf-Versions) are discussed in three workshops (of four groups) and a general session (all 12 groups). The sixth unit is used to discuss the final refinements of the 12 written bachelor theses (pdf-Versions), which have to be handed in within 2 weeks after the six unit (final deadline: June 22nd, 2021 at 9 a.m.).
