Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment will be based on weekly homework exercises and on a final (written or oral) exam.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students can earn points by solving and presenting the homework exercises. They can also earn points in the final exam. The minimum requirement to make an assessment possible is that the student submits at least half of the homework exercises and takes part in the final exam.
Examination topics
Defined by beamer presentation and homework exercises.

a) important modelling frameworks which are used to study economic growth, business cycles, and unemployment;
b) important mathematical methods to analyze the above mentioned models, including dynamic optimization, recursive methods (dynamic programming), and dynamic general equilibrium analysis.Methods: The basic material of the course will be presented in the form of lectures. This will be complemented with weekly exercise classes in which students have to present solutions to homework exercises.
