Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This class focusses on public expenditures and financing. To this end a discussion of the economic role of the state is necessary. Moreover, an outline will be given of public choice as well as tools for rational decision making in the public sector
Students should learn to independently read more advanced literature and to critically examine policies.
Lecture, usind slides, which are provided together with addistional materials, discussions

Assessment and permitted materials

Homework comprising two questions from the lecture and a written contribution to al glossary of public economics

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Es können 30 Punkte erreicht werden. Mindesterfordernis 15 Punkte. Je 20 Punkte maximal für die Hausarbeit und 10 Punkte für die schriftliche Fragestellung
Beurteilungsmassstäbe sind sachliche richtigkeit der Darstellung in inhaltliche Vollständigkeit. Bonuspunkte für daa Einbringen von über den UK hinausgehenden Aspekten
