Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course will focus on the everyday use of Chinese in 1b level, especially for students with economic background. You will learn the basic expressions when you are at restaurants, airport, train station, bank, hotel, post office and hospital.
On Moodle-Platform you will find the learning material one week before the course starts.

Assessment and permitted materials

There will be no mid-term exam. However, your attendance in the class, your active group exercises and your homework will be the three standards to be evaluated for your final score.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

As far as we know now, this course will be held online at least for March and April 2021. You will be informed before Easter if we will switch it back to on-site course.
Dictations will be held every week and the best two will be chosen for your final score.(20%)
We will have two or three in-class exercise, which will be 20% of your total score.
Your homeworks will be counted as your attendance rate. (10%)

50% from the final test.

In order to receive a positive grade, you are not allowed to be absent from the course more than three times. However, if you are sick, you may have an exception with the medical certificate from your doctor. Other special cases please contact the lecturer and get an extra agreement from her.

If you miss the first course on 2nd March 2021 without excuse, you will automatically be deregistered from the course. If you are unable to attend the first course, an apology must be sent in written form via email to the lecturer.
