Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to Microeconomics for economists. Consumer behavior. Production theory. Markets under perfect competition, general equilibrium and economic efficiency. Public goods and externalities. Monopoly and Imperfect Competition.

Objectives: Bachelor Students will become familiar with the basic tools and models of economic analysis. At the end of the semester, students should be able to deal with equilibrium analysis, optimization behavior and comparative statics.

Methods: Basic calculus and optimization.

Grading: The weight of the Final and Midterm exams is 45%. Exercises 10%.
