Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this seminar the participants will write their bachelor theses in the field of operations and production management.
In the first classes, it will be discussed how to find a suitable topic / research question and how to proceed when writing a thesis.
The students have to write an exposé where they present a concept of their planned work. In the first presentation this concept (and first results) will be discussed with the lecturer.
The final results have to be presented and discussed in class.

Assessment and permitted materials

- Participation in class: 10%
- Expose: 15 % (Due 20.11. latest)
- First presentation: 10% (via Zoom, individual appointment)
- Final presentation: 20% (January, on-site)
-Theses: 45%

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

In order to pass the seminar, you have to achieve at least 50%.

>=50% ->4
>= 63% -> 3
>= 75% -> 2
>= 87.5% -> 1

Examination topics

Topics of the bachelor theses have to be related to production and logistics. They can be related for example to the following areas:

- location planning
- layout planning
- material requirement planning
- warehousing
- transportation planning
- scheduling
