Grading
a) Submission of disposition and its quality: 10%
b) 1. Presentation 20%; oral discussion feedback for (at least) one other seminar participant on their submitted written presentation at 10% (basis of the discussion is the submitted work)
c) 2nd presentation 30%; written and oral discussion feedback for (at least) one other seminar participant on their submitted written work at 30% (the basis of the discussion is the work submitted of at least 20 – 30 pages of the seminar participant)
d) any late submission or unexcused absence = 1 grade worse

1. You will only be admitted to the Master's KV if you have already registered for a Master's thesis. Please send a copy of the registration to veronika.moser@univie.ac.at.
If you are writing your Master's thesis in another department, please register with the Master's Thesis Collationium of Ms. Michaela Schaffhauser-Linzatti.
In general, if you are supervised by someone other than us, please send your disposition to your supervisor as well. They will also receive all feedback and MUST be present at the presentation. Otherwise, your KV is not assessed.
2. Regardless of the admission, please send send Ms. Veronika Moser (veronika.moser@univie.ac.at) until 2.10., 23 h, the following information:
- Surname- First name- MatrNr- email- Title of the work- Date of approval of the work- Supervision, if necessary co-supervisorThis data is collected in an Excel spreadsheet in Moodle. Your data protection permission is required (otherwise, please get in touch with Ms. Moser).
3. For all submissions and correspondence, please always write the document's course, name, email, and date.
4. There is a short introduction to the KV and our presentation of Master's theses in the first unit.
5. By 14.10.2022, you need to load your disposition in Word format on Moodle into the appropriate folders.
The disposition including structure includes a) at least five pages text b) table of contents (preliminary structure of the thesis), c) problem definition and motivation (based on the relevant, relevant academic literature), d) research questions, e) methodological approach (focus! design, sample, tests, ) f) bibliography of at least 3/4 pageIf you are already advanced, please upload or submit what is already available.
6. We are happy to answer any questions you may have during office hours.

7. Presentations
a) See "Important dates of the course schedule."
b) Preparation for the 1st presentation: Upload PowerPoint slides (app. 1 week prior to presentation); Lecture dates and discussants will be divided
c) Procedure 1. Presentation: Content of the slides - Progress of the work, as far as you are. In any case, you have to present more than your disposition; by this date, if you started from scratch, you should have 1/2 of the thesis, otherwise more (remember, the Master's thesis should be written in ECTS-like in 6 months). The progress is included in the grade.
d) Preparation for the 2nd presentation: PowerPoint slides and the actual work, which includes at least one page size between 20 - 30, must be uploaded (app. 1 week prior to presentation); presentation dates and discussants will be announced in due time.
e) Sequence of the 2nd presentation: The work is to be presented; the progress (about the 1st presentation) is included in the grade. At least one discussant discusses the progress of your work based on the submitted work in the Word document.
8. Absence: You may miss a maximum of 2 hours after consultation with the course instructors, otherwise negative assessment; Logout in case of serious prevention.
