Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The goal of this course is to get students familiar with the core theories and concepts in the field of international economics and finance. Topics covered include (but are not necessarily limited to): theory of comparative advantage and trade; the Balance of Payments; exchange rates; exchange rate regimes; the relationship between exchange rates and production/inflation; international monetary systems; the theory of optimum currency areas; the Euroarea. The course combines lectures with hands-on exercises. All sessions will be available online. Sessions will be recorded, the videos will be available on the MOODLE site associated with the course during the entire semester. The course language is English.
Assessment and permitted materials
The assessment will be based on the following criteria:
1) 3 homework assignments (with weight 10% each)
2) 3 Online-Quizzes (with weight 15% each)
3) 1 Final Exam (with weight 20%)
4) Active participation (with weight 5%)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
At least 50% of feasible points must be obtained to pass the course. Grades depend on the points as follows:
