Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The class deals with the general topic "Comparative Analysis of Accounting Systems and Corporate Accounting."The method of the course is concerned with students' presentations and discussions. The participants are expected to make independent written contributions (seminar papers), deliver class presentations, and contribute to intensive debates.
Assessment and permitted materials
The examination consists of three grading components: written seminar paper 50%; presentation 30%; and discussion 20%.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Submission of the seminar paper and regular participation (as a maximum 25% of absence will be tolerated).
Examination topics
The examination material consists of a student's topic and seminar paper, and a delivered discussion.
Reading list
Primary reading literature is given for each topic which has to be expanded by additional relevant literature from each student when writing the seminar paper.Recommendation: in addition to the library of the University of Vienna, search might be performed at the library of Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna). If individual literature sources are not available at the library of the University of Vienna, they can be found in the WU Vienna. Otherwise, you can ask the chair for help.
