Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In the business informatics bachelor seminar the students write a bachelor thesis. The goal is the scientific elaboration of a topic in the field of business informatics and the presentation of the solution approach in the course of the seminar. The students thus make a first step towards the self-directed scientific working. After the distribution of the topics the individual completion is expected - this encompasses, based on the given topic, the scientific literature search, the analysis and critical discussion of the literature, the elaboration of a solution concept and optionally also the realization using technical means.

Assessment and permitted materials

10 % Exposé, 65 % Bachelor thesis, 15 % final presentation, 10 % Collaboration

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For a positive evaluation of the course 50% have to be reached at minimum. This also includes the on-time delivery of the bachelor thesis and the presentation slides. Work that is not submitted on time are not considered for evaluation.

The final bachelor thesis is subjected to a plagiarism check by Turn-It-In.

It is highly recommended that you have successfully completed the VO Information Technology so that the basics of Business Informatics can be assumed.

The grading scale is defined as follows: >50% - 63%: Genügend; >63% - 75%: Befriedigend; >75% - 88%: Gut; >88%: Sehr Gut

The exam material depends on the chosen topic of the bachelor thesis.

The literature depends on the chosen topic of the bachelor thesis and will be announced in the course.
