Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
The final mark is made up of the following elements:
- first written intermediate test (online via Moodle, on Nov. 27) → 30% of the final mark
- second written intermediate test (online via Moodle, on Dec. 17) → 25% of the final mark
- a short presentation during the semester (online) → 10% of the final mark
- oral exam at the end of the semester (online) → 25% of the final mark
- Work during the semester → 10% of the final mark.In case of a significant study impairment or the like the students will be required to perform alternative tasks.There is no make up exam.(Last update: 24/11/2021)

No previous knowledge of Italian is required.Assessment criteria:

60-69%: 4 (pass)
70-79%: 3
80-89%: 2
90-100%: 1Class attendance is considered mandatory also during the live-streamed teaching sessions (with up to max. 4 absences).

The course aims at developing the students' competence in Italian in daily business situations (A1 business).Main content overview:
- Communication topics covered: introductions, ordering something in a café or in a restaurant, booking a hotel room, scheduling an appointment, talking about habits, giving directions, describing business departments, briefly describing companies.
- Grammar topics covered: present tense, gender of nouns, singular and plural forms, possessive adjectives, demonstrative adjectives and pronouns, personal pronouns.Method:
