Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the course is to support the writing of the master’s thesis. In the first part, we discuss the steps of a scientific study. The participants present the outline of their thesis, which will be discussed in the group. After finalization of the study, participants present the results. This presentation is a condition of the evaluation of the thesis. Each presentation is allocated 20 minutes, of which a maximum of 10 minutes may be used for the presentation. In the last three course units, time will be allocated to the discussion of the literature for the master’s examination.

Assessment and permitted materials

The course is „prüfungsimmanent“.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The grade consists of the following elements:
(a) presentation of the outline (30%),
(b) three prepared comments on the presentation of other participants (30%),
(c) presentation of the results (40%).
