Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to agency theory and incentive systems. Topics include the LEN agency model, compensation systems and budgeting mechanisms.

The first unit will take place on 03.03.2025 from 15:00 in HS 17.
To stay registered in the course, you must attend the first session. Unexcused absences will result in deregistration from the course (compulsory attendance). Free places will be allocated to students on the waiting list who were present at the kick-off meeting.

Assignment set (20%): Deadline: 01.04.2025. To be solved independently, with sworn statement: Excel implementation of theoretical foundations and theory questions. There is a free replacement software for Excel, which can be used alternatively.

Written midterm exam (40%)
Written final exam (40%)

In order to pass, at least 50% of the total points of the midterm exam must be achieved.

Prerequisites:
The minor and major in Controlling have a strong quantitative focus. Basic mathematical knowledge (such as simple probability theory and the derivation of real functions) is expected of students in the course.

Attendance at the kick-off meeting is required to stay registered in the course. Deregistration without assessment is possible until 14.03.2025 via uspace.
