Aims, contents and method of the course

Goals
The course aims to develop advanced business communication skills essential for effective interaction and self-presentation in corporate or other organizational settings. Students enhance their reasoning abilities, critical thinking, and capacity for constructive dialogue while also expanding and reinforcing specialized business vocabulary.

Content
Throughout the course, students will explore the economic, political, cultural, and social factors influencing business operations in a global context. Additionally, the course will equip students with the skills to develop and implement strategies, plans, and tactical decisions essential for successful international business ventures.

Methods of Instruction
The course will employ a communicative, interactive, and analytical approach to learning. Students will actively engage in discussions, collaborative exercises, and problem-solving activities. Analytical techniques will be used to critically evaluate business-related topics and develop a deeper understanding of complex concepts.

Assessment and permitted materials

Grading Breakdown
Presentation (delivered in class during the semester): 30%
Student participation (active engagement, punctuality, preparation, contribution to classroom discussions): 25%
Written midterm test: 20%
Final exam: 25%

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

In order to pass the course, students must reach an overall percentage score (PS) of more than 60%.
Grading scale:
86% + = 1 Very good
80% + = 2 Good
70% + = 3 Satisfactory
60% + = 4 Sufficient
