Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Aim is the learn and apply the basics of probability theory. That is: set theory, conditional probabilities, distribution functions, densities, parametric distributions (Binomial, Poisson, Exponential and Normal), expected value and moments.
Assessment and permitted materials
Exercise session with mid- and endterm. In each session, a chosen student presents exercises on the blackboard, which were prepared beforehand.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Compulsory attendance (!), 50% of the exercises have been prepared, one of the two tests (50 points each) is positiv and more than 50 points are reached in total.
Examination topics
Mid- and endterm will be very similar to the exercises prepared in class.
