Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim of the course is that students practically apply the material learned in the lecture and gain confidence in solving corresponding problems.
Assessment and permitted materials
Students can earn up to 100 points. These points can be earned in four distinct aspects of the course. There are two tests where a total of 70 points can be earned.A mid term test will take place digitally on Monday, the 25. November, 15.00 - 16.00. Here, up to 30 points can be earned. An end term test will take place (probably) digitally on Monday, the 27. January, 18.30 - 19.30. Here, up to 40 points can be earned.Students can earn up to 30 points for participation in the course.Weekly, students work on posed problems and indicate the problems they have solved on Moodle. If a problem is marked as having been solved, the student thus agrees to present the solution in a weekly online session. If this presentation shows that a problem was indicated as being solved without an adequate solution, the mark for the problem under consideration as well as five other marks are deleted.Attendance is mandatory: If a student is not present in a session for which problems were indicated as being solved, all the marks for the relevant session will be deleted. The marks provide 10*(percentage of solved problems) pointsFor the presentation of the solved problems, up to 20 points can be earned. The total points are the sum of the points earned in the four aspects of the course.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
To get a passing grade, at least 50% of problems have to be solved and at least 50 points have to be obtained.
