Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Statistical experiments; visualisation; random variables, probabilities and distributions; distribution functions and quantile functions; moments and expected values; law of large numbers; central limit theorem; bootstrap; estimation of parameters; confidence intervals; hypothesis tests; linear regression; principal component analysis.

Written exam about the material covered in class

ATTENTION: Separate dates for exams with different mode and credit points:

- open questions for students of Statistics & EC Grundlagen der Statistik

For students of other disciplines who take the exam for their EC: please check yourself how many ECTS you need with your SPL and register for the according exam.

for the exam you HAVE to bring:
- students ID or other official ID (passport, identity card)
- distribution tables (download from moodle)

allowed to use (OPTIONAL):
- handwritten formulary (1 A4 sheet, only formulas no examples)
