This Seminar takes place in the department of criminal law (host od the center for economic analysis lof law), Schenkenstraße 4, 2nd floor, 1010 Vienna
14 - 16 hours on Thursday, beginning April 27, last session June 29
Classes are organized jointly with Professor Peter Lewisch

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This Seminar will deal with selected topics of law and economics, methodological as well as empirical, presented by guest speakers. Students will thus be made familiar with selected issues at the frontier of law and economics and critical reflections thereupon. They will be invited to act as discussants of the papers presented

Assessment and permitted materials

All students: One written comment on one of the papers presented by the guest speakters
EMLE: Also presetation of core ideas of master thesis during the second half of the term
Bonus points for active participation

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Comment: Understanding of the chosen topic, substance of insights, methodological skills
Master thesis: completeness and logic of the proposed paper
