Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The role of the Exercise lessons is to practice and repeat the topics and concepts presented in the Lectures and to discuss the problems.

The students receive exercises from the current topics of the lecture, which they work out at home. The exercises will be given one week in advance, and on the lesson they will be presented by the students at the blackboard. The solutions will be discussed, referring also to the subject of the lecture, when it is necessary. The person who presents will be selected on a voluntary basis. If there are more applicants to the same exercise, the one who has less succesfully presented exercise in the current semesterhalf will get priority. In case of equality, the selection will be done randomly.

Assessment and permitted materials

Each succesfully presented example will be awarded by - usually - 2 points. The definitely easier or more difficult example will worth different from this. The value of each exercise will be announced in advance.

There will be also two tests and the total score is 100 points.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To obtain a positive result the following must hold true:

- From the tests and from the presented exercises at least 50 points has to be scored.
- At least one test should score a minimum of 20 points.

Then the grade is set up by the sum of points scored on the two tests and on the exercise presentations:

0-49 grade 5
50-63 grade 4
64-75 grade 3
76-89 grade 2
90- grade 1
