Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Attendance is compulsory; students may be released from compulsory attendance for a total of one unit for good cause. In the 1st unit, attendance is compulsory without exception. Students who do not show up will be deregistered from the course, unless there is an important provable reason for their absence (excuse and proof before the 1st unit to Mrs. Scharl, nicole.scharl@univie.ac.at).
The assessment is based on oral participation (4 points) and two written exams with open questions (18 points each, duration of each exam: 45 minutes) in German at the end of the course. In case of a pandemic-related change to online exams (to be announced in due time), the exams will take place via Moodle. Please note that according to § 13f Abs 2 Z 1 Satzungsteil Studienrecht Universität Wien Turnitin is used to detect plagiarism and your consent is required for this. Personal information should not to be included in the examinations answer text.
From 21 points on, the course is positively completed.

Aims, contents and method of the course
The participants should be taught the approach to facts of everyday business life.The course is covered by practice-related cases in general business law, business-related transactions, consumer protection law and in the international Sale of Goods law (CISG).
Assessment and permitted materials
The performance control/assessment is based on oral participation (4 points) in the course, as well as two exams (18 points each, duration of each exam: 45 minutes) in German at the end of the course. From 21 points on, the course is positively completed.The use of unannotated editions of laws and non-electronic dictionaries is allowed in the exam (Post-Its: only unlabeled allowed - neither numbers nor headings; different colors, sizes are allowed).
