Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim of this course is to work out a topic in applied statistics, usually the analysis of a data set or a simulation study. The methods for this task are worked out in close cooperation with the lecturer. The final result is a written essay.
Assessment and permitted materials
Success is evaluated during the course with special emphasis on the final report. Students are expressly encouraged to study the relevant literature.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The written final report should contain the description of the problem, the used statistical methods and the findings in the style of a short scientific paper.
