Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The main objective of the course is to develop students´ awareness for the particularities of companies in the public sector, which are an essential asset to their management in an international context. Due to progressive deregulation and privatization, facility companies increasingly appear international and move away from the previously well-established national and monopolistic character. Nevertheless, there is still need for regulation whenever the monopolistic character is still present (e.g. infrastructure sectors).

Assessment and permitted materials

The topics will be discussed by using a lecture format and respective discussions. Relevant materials include the presented slides as well as mentioned literature. Grading comprises two written exams, one written term paper (in groups) and an oral presentation (also in groups)."
