Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture gives an introduction into the application areas of Computer Science at the University Vienna: Bioinformatik, Medieninformatik, Mediziniformatik, Scientific Computing und das Studium der Wirtschaftsinformatik.
Assessment and permitted materials
Students reflect about the presentations and write a report about that application area, which they plan to choose in their further studies. Details will be presented in the lectures.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students get an overview of the different application areas of Computer Science at the University Vienna. Main goal is to help the students to make the right decision for that application area in which they are interested in.

Presentation of the different application areas.
