Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Part 1: Analysis of statistical date with different methods. Part of the class will investigate data from the PISA study and present the results is different formats.

Part 2:
Presentation of data with spatial structure (election results, educationa administration snd tests with different spatial aspects),
With Geographical Information Systems.
Connections between graphical elements, databases, spreadsheet programs and APIs and Plugins for wirking with data
and extending and enhancing GIS.

Assessment and permitted materials

Students produce analyses as small scale research papers. These papers are the basis for grading the reaults.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

A project report has to be turned in for each of the two parts of the class,

Examination topics

Not exam in the classical sense, grading is based on the papers turned in.
