Aims, contents and method of the course

The goal is the guided implementation of a software project. The students should be enabled to independently carry out projects based on the experience gained during the implementation after completion of the Bachelor's program. The goal is also the consolidation of previously imparted knowledge.
The bachelor thesis is a final thesis in the bachelor's program and therefore requires comprehensive knowledge of the teaching content previously offered in the program and should therefore generally be completed in the 6th semester (see the semester plan for the curriculum).

Assessment and permitted materials

The evaluation covers the handling of the entire project, the practical implementation and the preparation of the bachelor thesis. The permitted aids are determined in the project specification.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The goal is the proven comprehensive understanding of the underlying problems, as well as the ability to apply the necessary concepts, techniques and methods for the development of a suitable solution.

The assessment is made as follows:
Presentation + Milestones: 10% (The first three milestones: 3% (quality / quantity of progress)
Design & Code: 45%
Thesis: 45% (30%: Content (quality of the proposed solution, evaluation, etc.), 15%: written execution)

To finish the course positively you have to get:
- at least 50% of the points for the thesis
- at least 50% of the points for the code AND
- at least 50% of the points for the presentation.

Assessment standard:
1: at least 87.5%.
2: at least 75.0%
3: at least 62.5%
4: at least 50.0%
