Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
In Part A, a maximum of 40 points can be earned, and in Part B, a maximum of 60 points.
The final grade is based on the sum of points from both parts (maximum total score = 100).
There are four assessments:
- Part A: Two written tests/exams on the conceptual content (no aids allowed), each worth 20 points.
- Part B: Information system (IS) specification focusing on relational and NoSQL DBMS, worth up to 30 points.
- Part B: IS development with a relational DBMS, including migration to NoSQL DBMS, worth up to 30 points.
In addition, students may earn bonus points through short (maximum 10-minute duration) quizzes at the beginning of individual sessions and independently completing post-lecture tasks. The maximum total score from these additional assessments (quizzes and post-lecture tasks) is 12 points. Of these, a maximum of two points may be applied toward the minimum requirements. The use of generative AI tools is generally not permitted unless you are explicitly asked to do so.
You must adhere to the » rules of academic integrity for this course (see download) in order to be assessed. Violation of these rules may result in assessment as a case of plagiarism.
