Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
The performance assessment in the BPM course is based on the following three pillars:
1) Written theoretical examination - (50%)
2) Two modelling and simulation exercises - (20%, 10% each)
3) One practice examination based on a real case study (30%)The topics of the above-mentioned pillars 2 and 3 will be discussed and assigned within a reasonable time prior to the exams and the presentation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The scale of grades as follows:
100.00% - 87.00% --> Grade 1
86.99% - 75.00% --> Grade 2
74.99% - 63.00% --> Grade 3
62.99% - 50.00% --> Grade 4
49.99% - 0.00% --> Grade 5
100.00% - 87.00% --> Grade 1

Examination topics
The course consists of lectures which provide basic knowledge, in-depth analytical exercises, presentations and case studies.

The main objective of the course is the identification of challenges inside an organization, regarding the business processes and the optimization of these processes. At the end of the course, the participants will be able to recognize the benefits and the profits for the organization upon effective application of various Business Process Management techniques.
