Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Business processes structure the operations of organizations; they are what companies do whenever they deliver a service or a product to customers, whether internal or external. This course on Business Process Management (BPM) covers the identification, discovery, analysis, and improvement of such processes. Within this context, this course primarily takes a design perspective, focusing on the establishment and analysis of artifacts, especially process models. It highlights the role of IT in supporting process improvement. Although also crucial in the context of BPM, less attention will be given to topics like organizational strategy, change management, project management, and regulations. The course will combine lectures with practical exercises to cover the course content, which you will also apply to real-world processes through various assignments.
