Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
The evaluation of your performance will be based on three parts:
1) oral paper presentation
2) written paper review
3) written testYou will be assigned a current paper of computer science research for which you need to prepare a written review. You will choose a second paper which you will present in an oral presentation. Furthermore, there will be a written test on the topics of the lecture.You can obtain up to 30 points on the written test, up to 30 points for the review of your paper and up to 40 points for the paper presentation.Your active participation in the lectures (in presence or via Zoom) is mandatory.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Regular attendance (in presence or via Zoom) is mandatory in order to pass the course.The grading scale for the course will be:

Topics include: Issues in scientific writing (authorship, reproducible research); Preparing a scientific manuscript for high-impact conferences and journals; Conference presentation; How to do a peer review; How to search in the literature.
