Structural bioinformatics part is scheduled from May 7-11 (mandatory) and May 14-18 (highly recommended; will be credited extra) 9 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 5 pm each day in the Vienna Biocenter/MFPL, Dr. Bohrgasse.

Dates/times for the other parts will be discussed in the first meeting.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The students are able to explain typical questions and methods of sequence and structure analysis and can design experiments using these methods.
The students are able to compare sequence and structural data with biological databases.
The students understand basic methods and algorithms of sequence based predictions and predictions of molecular structures. The students are able to apply these to solve typical problems in biology and medicine and can interpret the results.
