Aims, contents and method of the course

Objectives:
• Students can explain and reflect on theories of specialised didactics and apply them to practice for basic digital education and computer science and implement or adapt their lesson design accordingly.
• Students have an overview of quantitative and qualitative research methods and can use them appropriately to research teaching.
Contents:
• Theories of the didactics of teaching
• Special aspects of teaching basic digital education and computer science
• Research methods for researching teaching
• Example learning scenarios for teaching at secondary level
Teaching methods:
• Classroom lectures
• exercises
• discussions
• group work
• Partner work
• Student presentations
• Online assignments on the Moodle learning platform

Assessment and permitted materials

Active participation in the exercises, discussion, group work, partner work, student presentations. Completion of online assignments on the Moodle learning platform.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Exercises (20%), discussion (10%), group work (20%), student work and presentations (30%). Completion of online assignments on the Moodle learning platform (20%).
Attendance (max. 2 absences)

Examination topics

For the partial performances and examination parts, the sections of the literature and the course documents explicitly stated in the course and on the learning platform must be studied and the partial examinations must be passed and the course tasks completed.
