Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

in the framework of the Teaching Quantum Informatics Lab TEQUILA, in this lab course students will build fundamental quantum algorithms (including quantum teleportation, dense coding, Deutsch-Jozsa, Shor) hands-on, using several educational kits. The resulting emulated quantum circuits will be studied and evaluated in detail which will contribute to a deeper understanding of quantum computing basics.

The lab course aims particularly at Bachelor and Master students in computer science, physics and mathematics.

For computer science students, basic knowledge from finishing the StEOP lectures TGI and MG1 (linear algebra) is assumed. For students in physics and mathematics, basic knowledge in Linear Algebra is assumed. In addition, for physics students T3 (QM) is recommended.

Assessment and permitted materials

Lab procotols, reports, short presentation, participation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Positive evaluation of the tasks.
