Aims, contents and method of the course

Assessment and permitted materials

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course analyzes the Israeli society as portrayed in its
cinematographic representation. Through the examination of the films and
the images projected thereby into society, we will gain insight into the
history, politics and culture of Israel.

Examination topics

Reading list

The films are in Hebrew with English subtitles.
The literature is mostly in English and the discussions in class will be
held in English German.
