Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The Babylonian Exile and the Persian period are decisive for the religious and cultural history of Judaism. Important parts of the Hebrew Bible developed during these items and influence Judaism through this source as of to date. In this seminar, we will read selected biblical texts from both periods in Hebrew and analyze them. The study of the sources will disclose the theological answers which Judaism developed in response to the threats to its existance.
