    Aims, contents and method of the course

    Surveys as well as the increasing verbal and physical violence against Jews document a frightening increase of antisemitism worldwide. Austria and its institutions are no exception to this development. Based on cutting edge research, this seminar class will ask how antisemitism can be combatted successfully. For this purpose, in addition to the dicussion of pertinent literature and catalogues of measures how to combat antisemitism, decision makers will be invited to class who play a significant role in the fight against antisemitism.

    Assessment and permitted materials

    Written and oral presentation of a research project.

    Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

    Regular participation, and writing of a research project that is presended both orally and in writing.

    Examination topics

    You should demonstrate the ability to develop strategies to combat antisemitism based on one example.
