Aims, contents and method of the course

Blocked in early March and participation at the 14th Maimonides Lectures, May 4 and 5 in Krems. Follow-up session in individual dates.
Topic is Faith and Superstition in Jewish Traditional Literature, extended to look at traditions in Christianity and Islam (Maimonides Lectures).

Assessment and permitted materials

Methods:
Preparation of source texts, joint reading, comparison and interpretation of texts (in original languages + translation).
Type of performance assessment:
- Participation in the lesson (25 points maximum).
- Moderation and detailed preparation of a session (25 points maximum).
- Seminar paper (50 points maximum)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- Regular attendance
- A sufficient overall assessment.
- A satisfactory evaluation of the seminar paper.
Grading scale
- 81-100 points = 1.
- 61-80 points = 2.
- 41-60 points = 3.
- 21-40 points = 4.
- 0-20 points = 5.
