Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

To gain basic knowledge about Metal art in Ancient Egypt: metal-sculptures, jewellery or other types of metal objects. By using methodological research practices and study of one or more objects according scientific research criteria. To prepare a topic for an oral presentation and a script following the principles of scientific research.
The study of scientific literature (also english, german french) will enhance the basic knowledge for scientific research in the discipline.

Assessment and permitted materials

personal presence in the courses.
study and presentation of one topic for the course (oral and script), plus test at the end of the term about the contents of all topics.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participants should have acquired basic knowledge for scientific research according the the good scientific practice within Egyptology.

Oral presentation 30%; script 30%; test at the end of the term 30%; constant participation 10%
