Aufgrund eines Forschungsaufenthalts wird die LV in geblockter Form stattfinden. Daher ist auch die Anwesenheit in der ersten Sitzung am 6.3. erforderlich um das Programm zu besprechen. Je nach Studierendenzahl wird der praktische Übungsteil auf 2 Gruppen verteilt, die entweder vor oder nach dem Vorlesungsteil stattfinden.

Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Attendance is compulsory. Assessment of the lectures will be done via a written exam (40%) at the end of the semester. The practical work will be assessed via smaller assisgnments and participation (30%) as well as a brief essay (30%).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
for BA Egyptology: STEOP completed. Students may be absent once.
Marking scale: 88 - 100 % = 1, 75 - 87,99 % = 2, 62,51 - 74,99 % = 3, 50 - 62,50 % = 4, 0 - 49,99 % = 5

Examination topics
The exam will include materials and topics covered in the lectures and practical part.
Reading list
Literature will be provided in the first class.
