Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Ancient Egyptian crafts and manufacturing processes based on representations and objects.
The craftspeople, used materials and production technology are exemplified by using representations in murals, reliefs, paintings and models, as well as archaeological finds.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral presentation, written paper. Acitve participation. written test at the end of the term. Active participation in teh course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To achieve basic knowledge about development of Ancient Egyptian objects, the used materials and procedure of manufacturing of small size objects, as well as furniture or construction technique.
To compile and to present a scientific paper, based on scientific sources. Development of independent research.
