Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Selected chapters of the Mishnah are read in the original, translated and commented upon.
For the first unit (October 7) please prepare Mishnah Ketubbot chapter 1.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular active participation including the preparation of the texts.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course shall provide a basic knowledge of the main contents and literary forms of the Mishnah which forms the basis of all later rabbinic literature.

Examination topics

Common reading, translation and discussion of the selected texts.
