Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Grundlagen der archäologischen Feldforschung im Vorderen Orient: stratigraphische Ausgrabung, Dokumentation der Funde und Befunde, chronologische und kulturelle Einordung des Materials.

Assessment and permitted materials

Gemischt: Engagierte Mitarbeit in verschiedenen, zugeteilten Arbeitsbereichen (ausgraben, Befunde graphisch und fotographisch dokumentieren, Funde aufnehmen, fotografieren und zeichnen, Datenbank verwalten); Arbeitsberichte schreiben.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Aktive und positiv engagierte Mitarbeit an der Ausgrabung, inkl. Fundebearbeitung (50%); wöchentlicher schriftlicher Bericht der Arbeit (20%) sowie schriftlicher Endbericht (30%). Alle in englischer Sprache.

Examination topics

Vorbereitung Anhand der angegebenen Literatur und erfolgreiche Teilnahme an der 2019 Ausgrabungssaison in Qurayyah.
