Aims, contents and method of the course

Preparation of scientific research practices in Egyptology. topics are: recognizing source materials, diversity of source materials, how to find source materials, how to work with source materials? how to produce a bibliography? how to present a scientific topic? How to organize a written paper in Egyptology?

Assessment and permitted materials

regular and active participation are obligatory. individual and team work is required, as well as homework.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

target is to develop skills for systematic scientific work with egyptological source materials, to evaluate the sources for further studies and distribution in oral presentations or written papers.

Examination topics

exercises according "learning by doing" rules. texts are studied in class, the contents are discussed and evaluated.The additional training by homework will be evaluated.
