Aims, contents and method of the course

The indicated chapters of the midrash are read in the original, translated and commented upon.

For the first unit (March 3) please prepare PesK chapter 13.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular active participation including the preparation of the texts.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course shall provide a close analysis of the literary forms, the hermeneutic approach and the main themes of one of the most important homiletic midrashim.

Examination topics

Common reading, translation and discussion of the selected text.
