Aims, contents and method of the course

The Hebrew literature from the Second Temple period (late books of the Hebrew Bible, Ben Sira, Dead Sea Scrolls) is at a crossroads which leads both to rabbincic Judaism and early Christianity. This reading class will help students to discover this important literature by way of readings selected texts in their original language.
