Contents: The temples of Karnak are one of the most important monuments of Ancient Egypt, many buildings are located within three large districts (Amun-Ra, Mut and Monthu). The decoration includes a wide field of information for the interpretation of cult activities and performances in the temple area. The analysis of reliefs, paintings or statues, will lead to the interpretation of the function of the rooms and buildings. Furthermore, developments and changes in the scenery composition, the mode of representation, style or technological details become obvious.
